Engelberger Tomme

During his years in western Switzerland, cheese maker Walter Grob got to know and love Tomme. The customers of the Engelberg cheese dairy liked the monastery bell and the brie – so the idea of a local Tomme with a mild, creamy taste was not far off. With increasing age the Tomme becomes creamy to fluid and spicy. In 2018 Tomme won the Swiss Cheese Award in the white mould cheese category.
